Here she tells me after the Washington Post called How to Butter Toast ‘the literal love child that might have resulted had Dr Seuss eloped with Elizabeth David’, how she feels about the difficult second album. How, with Simple Too coming out next September with Yotam and Verena Lochmuller, she handles publishing with two hats. And how, ahead of the Cookie’s launch on September 11th she’s gearing up to what she calls ‘the hustle and the hassle’ of getting the book under everyone’s nose.
